About the Developer

Joel Laub

Joel Laub has been involved in Las Vegas Real Estate for over 30 years. After attending the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Mr. Laub became licensed in Real Estate in Nevada in 1977, and soon became President of Roberts Realty Land Company. In the past 3 decades, Joel has assembled and brokered many 1,000s of acres for development as well as brokered and purchased 1,000s of acres for personal and client investment. Joel worked with the BLM on an exchange for 1,500 acres, and assembled an additional 500 acres to entitle, develop and master-plan Silverado Ranch Master Plan Community just south of McCarran Airport. Mr. Laub has worked with large clientele including shopping center developers, convenience stores, homebuilders, and community developers to assemble and entitle projects. Joel remains active in purchasing and brokering land, as well as syndicating multi-member investment LLCs and partnerships for JLA investment clientele.

Aside from vacant land, Joel Laub was the president/founder and CEO of Astoria Homes Corporation developing over 5,000 residential units in the Las Vegas Valley. In 2004 he was President of the Southern Nevada Homebuilders. He has built several anchored shopping centers and completed Build-to-Suits with national credited companies including Save-on and Ferguson Plumbing (115,000 sqft). Joel has negotiated ground leases with companies including: CVS, Longs Drugs, Walgreens, Chevron, Wells Fargo, Food4Less, Save-On, etc. Mr. Laub has developed over 90,000 sqft of industrial office warehouse and is currently developing over one million sqft industrial/office product in Southwest Las Vegas.

Aside from real estate, Joel Laub remains active in the Las Vegas community contributing and sponsoring various local charities. Joel has been a member of the Board of Directors at American Bank of Commerce and First Security Bank of Nevada. Joel is President of Joel Laub & Associates and stays active in brokering, investing, and structuring deals solely in Las Vegas real estate.

Don Borsack

Don Borsack, SR. grew up in Las Vegas, attending Fifth Street Grade School and graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1947. While a Wildcat he played basketball, football and was on the first American Legion baseball team in Las Vegas. He graduated from St. Mary’s College in Moraga California. in 1951.

After graduation he worked with his father at El Portal Luggage which grew from one tiny store on Fremont Street to over 100 stores from Guam to New York. While El Portal grew and was recognized as the leading luggage and leather goods store in the United States the Borsack family always and still do have its corporate headquarters in Las Vegas. Throughout 70 years of business in Las Vegas there are thousands of local Las Vegas people who have been a part of El Portal ranging in age from 90 years to 18 years of age.

Don Borsack and partner Joel Laub , who also grew up in Las Vegas, knowing the needs and wants of the small business man in Las Vegas have developed business parks entirely designed for the Las Vegas valley business community. They have worked years on a product that would make sense to enable a business to grow and strengthen their position as to the bottom line or profits, thus Loftworks was conceived by two life long Las Vegans to fit the needs of the business community they both love and respect.
